About the Blog

Gnothi Seauton.  Those were the words carved above the entrance to the Temple of Apollo at Delphi in Ancient Greece, and they sum up for me the purpose of this blog.  Know Thyself.  I see this journey of life as a journey of self-discovery, and in this blog I wish to chronicle my experiences and thoughts so that I can learn from them and share them with others.

The three main areas that I want to focus on in this blog are the areas of relationships, business, and greater life purpose.

Relationships. I have recently become involved in the pickup community, a community of guys focused on improving their skills with women.  Pickup can mean different things to different people, but for me I see it as a way of overcoming insecurities, building social skills, and developing myself into a strong and confident man who is naturally attractive to women.  Beyond women, I wish to gain a mastery of social dynamics, develop a wide social circle, and cultivate deep relationships with the people I care about.

Business. Like it or not, the majority of our adult lives is spent in the world of work.  As I leave the sheltered environment of college and enter the “real world,” my thoughts turn to starting a career for myself and figuring out what I want to do with my life.  Finding work that is challenging, meaningful, and financially rewarding is the ultimate goal, and I wish to chronicle my path towards that goal through this blog.

Purpose. Beyond work, beyond sex, what ultimately is the purpose of life?  As a student of Philosophy and a human being, my greatest purpose is to strive to answer this question.  Through this blog I will try to explore this question, and share some of my thoughts on life and the human condition.
