New Style Website!

I haven’t written in ages, but I just wanted to update the blog to let everyone know that I’ve come out with my first product!

AlphaWolf and I have been working together for the past few months to put together an ebook called Seduce With Style which is a comprehensive guide to men’s style and attractive fashion.

It’s a really cool book, and I’m not saying that just because I helped write it. This book to me is the book that I wish I’d had when I first started getting into style and fashion. There are a lot of style websites, magazines, and books out there, but there’s nothing really comprehensive out there that builds you up from the ground up.

Seduce With Style does that. We basically assume that the reader knows absolutely nothing about style, and teach them everything they need to know, from the fundamentals all the way to the most advanced concepts. Plus, the book focuses specifically on attraction fashion, so you can put together a look that gets you results in your dating and pickup life.

Bottom line is I’m very proud of this book, and am excited to contribute this missing piece of the puzzle to the seduction community!

Announcing the SeductionList Directory

It’s been a while since I’ve posted, but I’ve been hard at work on a number of projects.  My most recent one, which I’m happy to unveil today is called the SeductionList Directory. The SeductionList is a project that AlphaWolf and I have been working on for the past couple months, and is basically the largest directory of pickup and seduction related websites on the Internet.

The idea for the site came about when we were doing research for PUA Lingo, and discovered the amazing wealth of PUA content available online. There’s just so much content out there, and even though Alpha and I had been in the Game for years, there were a lot more PUA sites out there than either of us ever realized.

The SeductionList is our attempt at collecting all the PUA websites into a single, easy to use directory. On the site, we feature all the sites we’ve found in easy to navigate categories. We also have user ratings, so that people can rate the sites, so that it’s easy to find the best content available on the web. The site also features a blog, where we plan on doing in-depth site profiles as well as top 10 lists of various PUA sites.

So far, we’ve collected a little over 400 PUA sites, but we’re just scratching the surface. Over the coming weeks and months we’ll be adding hundreds more, and if there’s a site you like that’s not listed, you can also submit it to us directly.

Hopefully you’ll find the SeductionList to be a useful resource on your journey to being a PUA, and I’m looking forward to cataloging all the great sites that are out there.

Update: Now listed on DMOZ!

PUA Lingo

My friend AlphaWolf and I launched a new website called PUA Lingo this past weekend.  The idea behind the website is to create the most comprehensive list of PUA and seduction terminology on the Internet, since the pickup community has so much jargon and acronyms.

Before we started the website, we looked around to see what other resources were out there, and found them to be lacking.  While there are a couple sites out there, most of them only have a few dozen words (mostly from the Mystery Method) and the definitions are pretty brief.  Our goal was to create a site with detailed definitions, with links to some of the best resources available for each definition.

So far we’ve collected nearly 400 terms, and we feel like we’re just beginning to scratch the surface.  I’ve learned a lot about the seduction community researching all these words, and hopefully the site will serve as a valuable resource that others will find valuable as well.

New Blog Launch

So I’ve been toying with the idea of writing about the articles I read in my rss feed as a way to keep myself from squandering too much of my time consuming info porn, and also to help me retain some of the material that I read by engaging with it.  So far I’ve been too lazy to actually write anything, but it has cut down on my reading over the past couple days.

Well, today I’ve finally decided to take the plunge and I’ve created a new blog that will feature all the posts I’m reading about in my rss feed.  Fittingly, the blog is called What I’ve Been Reading Lately.  Everyday I will post the links to the most interesting posts of the day, as well as my own reflections on them.  It will be a way for me to help retain the material I read about, and hopefully be of value to readers interested in finding out about cool content.

I’ve also decided to try and monetize the blog by inclduing AdSense ads.  If I’m able to gather enough readers for the site, I may be able to make some spare change off of ad revenue, and at the very least I will gain some experience with Internet marketing and working with Google ads.  Here’s to my new blog!

Meeting Reflections – 10/30/08

Our meeting today focused on business and wealth creation.  The meeting was led by AlphaWolf, and we took turns discussing our experiences in the workforce, our business goals, and ideas for how to get there.  As usual, it was useful just to be able clarify and share my own thoughts, as well as hear the thoughts and opinions of others.

One of the things that I gained from doing the homework for the meeting was reading up on the blog of Tim Ferris, an entrepreneur and expert on lifestyle management.  One of the things that he talks about is clearing out all of the distractions and interruptions in our life (ironically, I was interrupted by a text while writing this), so that we can focus on working on projects and tasks that matter.

This really struck home for me, because I spend way too much time on the internet being distracted and unfocused.  I typically have 5-10 different tabs open in my browser at once, and read 20-40 articles a day from my rss feed, and am contantly checking my e-mail and facebook (which is made worse by my iPhone, which keeps me connected to the ‘Net 24 hours a day).

Not only is this a huge waste of time, but there’s no way I can take in all the information I’m reading.  The content of the articles I read is good, but at the end of the day, what have I gained from distractedly flipping through 40 blog posts?  Not a whole lot; certainly few lasting changes in my behavior or thinking which will have any meaningful impact on my life.

I am currently working on designing an app for the iPhone, developing a business in my entrepreneuship class, working on ideas to generate passive income through Internet ads, and a couple other personal projects.  I can’t afford to be distracted by this information overload.

So what can I do about this?  I will restrict myself from checking my rss feed to once a day, let’s say during lunch, and I will force myself to write about at least one article from my feed a day on my blog.  This will force me to at least engage with the material, instead of passively consuming it, and help with retention.  Let’s see how long I can keep this up; this blog post is my accountability.
